A cyberpet Dalmatian puppy on your PC
DogWorld 3D: My Puppy allows you to take care of a virtual Dalmatian puppy. It is reminiscent of the Tamagotchi (CyberPet) toy that was the biggest toy fad of the late 1990s. Care for the dog on a regular basis, play with it, and dress it up.
Caring for a dog with a difference
DogWorld 3D: My Puppy asks that you care for a three-dimensionally represented Dalmatian dog by feeding it, bathing it, walking it and having fun with it. However, since it is just a game, the notion of “Fun” is stretched a little. For example, you can walk it, or you can let it play on a trampoline. You can let your dog dance to music in a disco, you can virtually cuddle the pet, and stroke the pet. There are meter indicators on the screen that tell you how long you need to do a task before it is completed. For example, if you put the pet in the bath, there is a meter showing you how long you need to hold the shower head over the dog before it is clean.
The lack of consequences is good
DogWorld 3D: My Puppy doesn't really offer large and/or nasty consequences for ignoring the dog. For example, if you do not feed a Tamagotchi for three days, then it dies, but your DogWorld puppy will not die if you leave it for a few weeks. It offers many of the joys of having a virtual pet without the constant maintenance that late 90s cyberpets demanded.
